Expert behavioral health care, directly from DWIHN.
DWIHN’s outpatient clinic provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individual therapy directly to eligible Wayne County Medicaid members, from our own clinicians, at our own facility.
DWIHN is currently accepting members for outpatient mental health services, providing the following services for adults of all ages, children, infants and early childhood.
Adult Services
Adults with serious mental illness (SMI) 18 and older
Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment
Comprehensive psychiatric care including evaluation, medication management, and ongoing monitoring for adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.
Assessment and Diagnosis
Thorough clinical assessments to establish accurate diagnoses and inform individualized treatment planning for adult members.
Military and Veteran Services
Behavioral Health Services for members in the military and veterans
Co-occurring Treatment
Integrated treatment addressing both mental health conditions and substance use disorders simultaneously, tailored for military members and veterans.
Outpatient Primary Care Screening and Monitoring
Health screenings and ongoing monitoring to support the physical and behavioral health needs of military and veteran members.
Outpatient Therapy
Individual therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches including trauma-focused care, EMDR, and cognitive processing therapy for veterans.
Person-Centered Planning and Treatment
Individualized treatment plans developed collaboratively with military members and veterans, honoring their goals and experiences.
Targeted Case Management Services
Dedicated case managers coordinate care, connect members to community resources, and ensure continuity of services.
Peer Support Specialist Services
Veteran peer specialists with lived experience provide mentoring, encouragement, and help navigating behavioral health and community supports.
Children Services
Treatment and intervention for children and adolescents with severe emotional and/or psychiatric diagnosis
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (I-ECMH)
Specialized mental health services for children from birth through age 5, supporting healthy social-emotional development and early intervention.
Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment
Outpatient psychiatric services for youth including evaluation, medication management, and coordinated care for severe emotional disturbance.
Assessment and Diagnosis
Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents to establish accurate diagnoses and guide treatment planning.
Child and Family Therapy
Individual and family therapy sessions that build skills, strengthen family bonds, and address trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.
Home-Based Services
Intensive outpatient services delivered in the home setting for children and families who need support beyond what clinic-based care can provide.
Parent Support Partner
Parents with lived experience as caregivers of children with behavioral health needs provide peer support and guidance to other families.
Youth Peer Support Specialist Services
Young adults with lived experience in the behavioral health system provide mentoring and hope to youth currently navigating mental health challenges.
