Practice/Mission/Vision Statement
Built to Thrive specializes in providing a vast variety of hands-on activities that promote the value of social and emotional intelligence, as well as the importance of showing children their potential. We believe recognition of emotions and feelings are the building blocks of children who thrive. We create opportunities for young children to explore, experience, and practice skills that will strengthen their social and emotional intelligence and help them to build a toolbox to refer to when confronted with new situations.

About
Built to Thrive was developed as an ongoing partnership between elementary school teacher Brenda Ban and clinical psychologist Dr. Susan Lilienfield. Through extensive research and planning they have created a program that promotes social and emotional intelligence through structured play-based activities.
Built to Thrive works with individuals, groups, and school systems. They are currently working with preschool, kindergarten and first grade students on a bi-weekly basis at University Liggett School. As with all the work they do, the ULS program is customized to meet the needs of the children and the goals of the school.
